The new live EP by Ryan W. Stevenson's project reminded me, that this debut album must have been gone down the wishlist... If instrumental Canterbury stuff is your thing, this should be a no-brainer. Firmly rooted in the past (late 60s, 70s), nevertheless with a fresh sound. Guests incude The Tangent's Andy Tillison and Soft Machine's Theo Travis. Carsten Pieper
A fine instrumental prog rock album with jazzy, folky and symphonic touches that does not hail from the seventies but is a brand new recording by amazingly talented youngsters from Brazil!
Mr MoonJune Pavkovic keeps diving for pearls, hooray! Carsten Pieper
The particular brand of keyboard-forward, jazz-infused, Canterbury-style prog is not exactly common nowadays. Homunculus Res largely succeeded at paying homage to the big names of the Canterbury scene while also making something distinct.
